Description:
6-Fiber armored singlemode cable 900μm is used as an optical communication medium. The loose tube filled with gel that contains the fibers, is wrapped with a layer of kevlar and water blocking yarn as strength member unit, and the cable is completed with an armored PE outdoor jacket.

The Gel-filled in the loose tube prevents the ingress of water by filling the negative space within the tube, essentially blocking the entrance and any flow of water. The gel also provides another layer of protection for the optical fibers and, because they are free floating, causes less tension on the fibers.

The corrugated steel armoring and the gel filled tube with the waterblocking yarn, enables the cable to be directly buried in the ground, preventing moisture penetration in the cable and being crushed by loads above the ground.
