MAG544w3 are Linux STBs powered by the quad-core ARM Cortex-A35 CPU with a brand new Amlogic S905Y4 chipset. This hardware makes the model much more powerful than the legacy STBs. The devices ensure easy and smooth playback of content in all popular modern video formats, including 4K.

The set-top box supports both wired and wireless connections. The Ethernet port provides data transfer speeds of up to 100 Mbit/s. The Wi-Fi module operates in two bands with data transfer speeds of up to 100 Mbit/s in 2.4 GHz mode and 550 Mbit/s in 5 GHz mode.

With MAG544w3, users can watch linear TV, video on demand, and content from IPTV/OTT providers. Also, the set-top box plays content within the local network and from external media. Operators can customize the device to give users a bespoke UI/UX and provide reliable technical support.

With the new Amlogic S905Y4-B chipset and ARM Cortex-A35 CPU, the device is 25% more powerful than the legacy MAG set-top boxes. The MAG544w3 hardware ensures a fast interface and smooth playback.

MAG544w3 supports AV1 and HEVC codecs to make sure the device plays 4K content without overloading the network. While the H.264 codec requires 32 Mbit/sec to process such video, HEVC requires only 16 Mbit/sec. It plays 4K HDR video at 60 fps.

The device supports Dolby Digital Plus to provide clear eight-channel surround sound. The set-top box can be connected to seven speakers and a subwoofer. This way, the soundtracks get distributed in space, creating a surround sound effect and offering an immersive experience.

MAG544w3 plays content from external media and NAS servers, allowing them to operate without any Internet connection. This feature is convenient for hotels, cafes, restaurants, cruise ships, and facilities out of network coverage.

MAG544w3 is equipped with two USB 2.0 ports. They allow connecting wired and wireless devices, such as keyboards, mice, memory cards, etc. Peripherals make it easier to type and use the browser.

The MAG544w3 interface is fast thanks to its high-performance components. The device plays content smoothly and without delays, so users can enjoy it without worrying about rebooting or tweaking. Reliable and smooth playback.

The MAG544w3 comes with a programmable IR remote control made of anti-slip ABS plastic. It’s durable—each button is designed to withstand 300,000 presses.

You have the option to set up code pages and IR systems. This way, you configure the remote control so that it avoids interfering with other devices in the room; or, instead, it can control the TV, air conditioner, and other devices equipped with an IR receiver.
